You are an amazing community, each donation each ticket each teddy bear (those who attended will understand), total amount raised is well over $800,000 – quite simply amazing.
This cannot happen without your trust and support, from the $1 donations to the $20,000 donations each one is vital, each dollar makes a difference, each one is a show of support for the people in Palestine. May Allah bless you all and accept all your efforts.
We would like to thank our guest speakers, staring with Sis. Julie Karaki MC who brought the room into tears, Sheikh Mohammed Abbas Virjee for his beautiful recitation of the Quran and explanation of the verses, Sheikh Dr. Ali Alsamail for his articulate presentation explaining the effects of trauma.
Thank you to Al Hajj Safder Jaffer President of the World Federation of Khoja Shia Ithna-Ashari Communities who flew in for 2 days to lend his support and to ensure your funds will be going to the right places and the levels of du diligence that WF-AID the charitable arm of the World Federation undertakes.
Br. Hussein Hussein of the Imam Hasan Foundation provided a clear message on the auditing, integrity and transparency of Imam Hasan Foundation to ensure that every dollar received is accounted for.
Oh !! the auction, who would have thought that a simple teddy bear would raise over $250,000. there were 100 bears with the first one auctioned receiving a donation of $18,000.
It was simply amazing.
