This Week at IHC 19/2/2016 – Celebrating the Birthday of Bibi Zaynab A.S. – Apprentice Competition – Extra Quran Classes

This Saturday 20th February we will be celebrating the birthday of Bibi Zaynab A.S., daughter of Imam Ali.
Majlis will begin after Maghrib prayers at 8.03pm, and will be recited by Sheikh Imran.
On Saturday 27th February, we will be commemorating the first of the two possible dates for the death anniversary of Bibi Fatima A.S.
Majlis will begin after Maghrib prayers at 7.54pm, and will be recited by Sheikh Imran.
Apprentice Competition
The Apprentice Competition will be held on Saturday 20th February from 6:45pm – 8:00pm in the main hall BEFORE Maghrib prayers and the majlis.
Alhamdulillah we have received many entries consisting of artwork, videos and posters and we are requesting all parents, students and community members to gather in the main hall at 6:45pm inshallah.
Let us show our support for the students and make it a fun evening for all!

Term 1 is underway and HIS Admin appreciates prompt payment of Term 1 fees. Thank you.
Classes begin at 5pm SHARP with Assembly and children can leave after Maghrib prayers.
Please arrive on time and attend the assembly at 5pm in the Main Hall.
Please make sure your children have a bag for their books and a pencil case with all their stationery.
Please make sure your child brings their Quran text book from last year for Quran revision in the first few weeks of term 1.
Fees for the term are charged as follows:
$60 each for the first two children enrolled in the family, then $40 each for the third and fourth children.
In term 1, there will be an additional charge of $20 for the Quran textbook and $20 for the Islamic Studies textbook per child.
Please note: NO new enrolments will now be taken for Saturday classes.
Any new students who wish to join can now be taught on Thursday evenings before Maghrib prayers and Dua Kumayl.
Extra Quran Classes for IHS students
Imam Hasan Centre is offering FREE Thursday evening Qur’an classes from 7:15pm – 8:15pm for the month of February for new and existing IHS students who wish to improve their recitation. The recitation and understanding of Qur’an will be a big focus for the IHS this coming year as the aim will be for students to recite Surah Yasin in the Centre’s main programmes. Thursday Qur’an classes intend to supplement the madrasah learning.
Classes will be taught by Sister Amina Alimohammed and Sheikh Dr. Imranali Panjwani.
