Serving Imam Hussain (peace be upon him)
In about 7 days, the season of mourning shall start and the world shall shout wa Hussainah! Try your best to attend the majaalis of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), to ponder upon his words and stances, to mourn him and reveal impatience for his tragedy, and to serve him in any way or form , even if it is by distributing tissues to the weepers in his majlis.
One day, the great poet alKumayt (may Allah bless his soul) entered upon Imam alBaqir (peace be upon him) and recited poetry, mourning Imam Hussain (peace be upon him). When he finished reciting his poem, Imam alBaqir raised both of his arms towards the sky and said “o Allah! Forgive alKumayt! O Allah! Forgive alKumayt!”.

How blessed will we be if we serve Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and are mentioned in the supplication of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance). How beautiful will it be if Imam Mahdi supplicates and says “o Allah! Forgive those who have served my grandfather Hussain!”.
A year has passed and God knows what we have committed throughout the year.
Now it is time to compensate and cleanse ourselves from sin, through serving the master of martyrs. Surely he is the ark of salvation.
The Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) is narrated to have said : “it is written on the right side of the throne that Hussain is a lantern of guidance and an ark of salvation …”
